Chrysanth Mail Manager includes a built-in viewer that lets you read an individual email without downloading it into your regular mail program. A copy of it is downloaded temporarily, leaving the original on the server.
Chrysanth Mail Manager's internal viewer does not run Javascript or display image files; therefore, simply viewing a malicious email cannot result in your system being infected by a virus. However, just as with your regular email program, you must exercise caution when it comes to opening file attachments. Be suspicious of any file with a name ending in exe, bat, pif, scr, com, and certain other file extensions. Even if it looks like it was sent by someone you know, it's safest to check with that person to see if they really did. view mail headerShow the header information of currently selected email in the Mail list. This does not fetch the email content from remote server hence you may have a quick check of the entire email header information instantly.

While the Email Friends List contains complete addresses, the Domain Friends List only contains domains, which automatically include all addresses based on them. For example, an email domain owned by the company where you work would be a natural candidate for the Domain Friends list. This command examines the email currently selected in the Mail list, and adds the domain from which it originated to the Domain Friends list. You can also work with domain lists through Setup->Domain List. add domain to blacklistThe domain of an address is everything to the right of the "@" sign. While the Email Blacklist contains complete addresses, the Domain Blacklist only contains domains, which automatically include all addresses based on them. Certain email domains are exclusively used by spammers, and are perfect candidates for the Domain Blacklist. This command examines the email currently selected in the Mail list, and adds the domain from which it originated to the Domain Blacklist. You can also work with domain lists through Setup->Domain List. add domain to neutralized listThe domain of an address is everything to the right of the "@" sign. Since the previous command (Add Domain to Blacklist) makes it easy to blacklist an entire domain, you might accidentally blacklist a domain that is normally used for legitimate mail, such as hotmail.com or yahoo.com. Having such domains on your Neutralized List protects you from accidentally blacklisting them. This command examines the email currently selected in the Mail list, and adds the domain from which it originated to the Domain Neutralized List. You can also work with domain lists through Setup->Domain List. remove domain from domain listThe domain of an address is everything to the right of the "@" sign. When a given domain is on one of the domain lists (either Friends or Blacklist), all addresses at that domain are treated in the same category. This command examines the email currently selected in the Mail list, and removes the domain from which it originated from any list where it is found. You can also do this through Setup->Domain List. mark all email to be deletedThis command will mark all emails listed in Mail list to be deleted. mark all email to be bouncedThis command will mark all emails listed in Mail list to be bounced. unmark all email to be deleted and bouncedThis command will clear the Delete and Bounce checkmarks of all emails listed in Mail list. clear email listThis command clears the current contents of the Mail list. (It does not delete messages from the server; the clearing is only visual.) The same thing is done automatically when you Check Mail. |
